La Moraga de Poniente Malaga Hostel

It's a comfortable place to stay. A very small hostel only about 10 rooms accommodating varying numbers. It's a 15-20 bus ride out of Malaga. 20 mins taxi from airport. The bus is 2 mins walk from the hostel. €1.40 to Malaga. Loads to see and do there! Recommend the Alcazabar.. it's like a mini Alhambra but only €3.50! Not able to use beach due to the debris washed up by the floods. We chose the hostel because it was advertised as close to the beach. One day we had floods when we stayed but we were on the 1st floor. Great roof terrace to soak up the sun! Not a huge hostel but definitely a good way to meet new people!

I felt very welcome, as if I were at home. The manager of La Moraga De Poniente Malaga hostel interacts with guests whenever he can, dedicating time and attention to each one in a unique way. Not forgetting the cleanliness. The best cleaning team. At La Moraga De Poniente Malaga hostel everything works perfectly, nothing is ever missing, it's extremely organized and constantly improving and evolving. Great location with plenty of shops and restaurants near by. Close to the beach. Easy access to Malaga via bus or if you can walk. Clean and fresh. Room was ok, loved the balcony. Bed had own light, socket and curtain for privacy. However though the room had a mirror it was hard to use it due to poor location of one of bed units. Hair dryer in room but no spare plug sockets, and you can’t dry your hair in front of mirror due to bed being in way. Disliked: Despite the bathrooms clearly stating for which gender I was shocked to find an older male using the female bathroom. Signs stating kitchen out of use after certain hours but this was not followed. Signs need to be in a different colour as some hard to read due to colour of text. Also minor point - on ladies bathrooms would be good if you could spell ladies correctly!

Lovely location by El Palo, outside of the chaos and tourist-centrism of Malaga proper. 5 min walk to the beach, several nice options for food and drinks nearby in the little centre. Bed in double room was extremely comfortable, sun terrace a wonderful addition. Make sure you get the 10-trip bus card so journeys to and from the city cost only about 0.50 each, running regularly through the day and even a few at night

I loved the atmosphere at La Moraga de Poniente, it was really clean and accommodating. The beds were surprisingly equipped and private. We figured we had an AC mid week 😅 And there are 2 terraces, one of which I totally forgot to look for until another guest pointed out. Lovely hostel with really friendly staff that was always available for answering any questions. Highly recommend! Because of the hostel's location I also appreciated travelling outside of city centres and exploring the neighbourhood.
